93 Ranger Battery
Put a new battery on my 93 Ranger 4.0 in March,about 4 weeks ago the battery was to weak to start the truck.I charge the battery for about 15 min. and it started.Yesterday it did it again,no crank just solenoid clicking.Battery had 12.59 volts,put on charger for 1/2 hr and it started.I went to the parts store and had every thing tested.Alt,battery,and starter draw all were good,parasitic draw was .02. What would be causing the battery to lose its punch?
I live in a small town and every place I go is about a mile or less away,could the short hops have any thing to do with the problem?My driving hasn't changed in the last 10 yrs but this problem just crop up.Any ideas?

Have you checked the battery cables for corrosion? Not just at the battery but at the solenoid & the grounds of the truck. I have found Odd issues on every known make & model from this. If the cable is corroded into the twisted wires under the insulation (especially if you find any split) change the cable & clean the mount points thoroughly. The auto parts stores seal a sealer that will coat it once you have a clean connection and don't over look rust either.
