I have a engine & tranny from a 88' bronco, I will be swapping into a 58'. I will change to a carb set up. Do I have to get a new dist.? If so, any recommendations? I also need to know, can I just change out the rear shaft housing on the aod(from 4wd to 2wd)? The bronco was a married t-case 4x4, and now I'm going 2wd.

I don't think you need a new distributor. Alot of Mustang guys I know with classics do similar swaps and keep the dura spark stuff. I beleive you can just change the tail shaft on the trans to go from 2wd to 4wd.
