66 Ranchero Decode
Hi Everyone
I am a new user to this site. I just stumbled across it this week and looks like a great place for Ford info.
I just bought a 1966 Ranchero thats been in storge for last 22 years. I tried using the vin decoder on the site, but it didn't work. The VIN is
6K29C260883, and the Door tag is 66B M 45 27F 22 1 6. Any help with this is appreciated.

6 = 1966.
K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.
29 = Ranchero Custom, Body Style 66B.
C = 289 2V
260883 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly.
66B = Ranchero Custom.
M = Wimbledon White.
45 = Red Crinkle all Vinyl.
27F = Assembled June 27, 1966.
22 = Charlotte NC Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the Ranchero from.
1 = Ford 8" Rear Axle / 3.00-1 / non Limited Slip.
6 = C4 Cruise-O-Matic.
