Can anyone help me decode my VIN on my 71 ranchero i would like to know everything about it

The owners card says

if you can tell me everything you know about it that would be great

i've looked all over for a good decoder on the web and have found nothing

Thanks

the site above was translated from german. it will tell you the basics about your ranchero, but nothing more than what engine it came with, where its from and year.

http://www.motorcoder.com/torino/vindcode/VINSPLIT.HTML

that might help, but i'm not sure. It might be for 1973 torinos only. I could not put in the data plate for my 1970 ranchero 500 because the ink on the sticker has faded to the point were you cannot see it.

i belive there used to be several resources on the internet to find out what the racnchero vins and data plates meant, but they are no longer availible. IROC www.ranchero.org supposedly had the decoder but they shut down.
