fact: some idiot invented a 5.5 mm bolt so some other idiot had to build a tool to drive it. then ford decided to put it under the fenders of the f series....
fact: not all f series cabs come with the bolted in plates for manual and 4x4...... the one i bought had neither
fact: its is a b**** to get the turn signals plug out of the corner, so i just cut the wires
fact: i still cant figure out how to get the head light assembly apart to fix the lights that are aimed way off (not installed right)
all of those are in fact fiction. i am hauling it back to abilene after i get the cab on the chasis today. i was pretty happy to get two cabs comepletly disassembled and on the ground by myself yesterday
got to thinkin bout it, and im glad osha didnt stop by. i dont have an inspection form or a yearly inspection on our crane and that could add up to some serious fines. i also didnt tape off the surrounding area during the lift.
anyways, i got the truck to start tonight and the windsheild whipers worked, which didnt before. all i got accomplished was plugging the harnesses all in. the mosquitoes were thick and i HAD to mow my yard (said the law). (thanks to justin its mowed).
will continue to work on it tomorrow. but now, SLEEP
started the truck tonight to see how it would run and the hose rubbed the fan because im a dumbarse. so, went to the parts store and picked up a hose and 3 gallons of anti freeze and ended up putting 4 gallons of water, and 3 gallons of anti freeze and the trucks still not full. kinda disapointing, but thats ok, ill go buy more (yay, not). next up is to see if the oil preasure sensor is screwed up.
the windshield wipers never worked before, and now they do, and the temp sensor was screwed up and now its working.
i really have got to finish this up this weekend, the bed will be in next week. i need to cut a larger hole for the 4x4 and then put the carpet back in. i also need to take the mirrors off of the doors and drill the holes in my new doors to install them
