"looks like you got a fever, and the only cure is more RED"
What kind of paint is that? I recall you said it was ~$40/qt. Is it automotive paint, or a high temp epoxy type paint? Is it an adhesive/bonding primer?
I got it from Eastwood.com, someone on here told me about it. It's actually ceramic infused, so it'll dry even harder once the engine warms up. Trick is, trying to get the passenger IC tube on w/o scratching it- never been able to so far....
Looks real good Danny, hope it runs as good as it looks also. For the install of that IC pipe and it not getting it scratched, any way for you to bake that pipe, in an oven per say to cure the ceramic even more to minimize scratching it..Just a thought, I remember Powerstroke Ron baking his turbo exhaust housing and related parts in his oven at home I believe, lol..It worked..
Well it's not a real ceramic paint, Eastwood just claims that it has high heat resistant properties, up to 650*. If I wasn't in a rush, as I always am about the time it's ready to install the IC pipes, I'd take the time to wrap them in shipping paper, that would keep them from getting scratched.
3M painters masking tape works great to prevent scratching. I use it when I asseble chrome and painted parts after mock up on scoots. Works terrific but cost 6 bucks a roll.
