Help

Just got back from vacation. My intake is leaking antifreeze. I've got the intake off but the ip is in the way. And I can't find the thread on how to r&r ip. Can somebody run me thru that again? Thanks

Injection Pump Removal Basics. (DO NOT REMOVE the IP drive gear housing)
  1. Rotate Motor to TDC #1.
    1. Remove #1 Glow Plug.
    2. Place Finger over Glow Plug hole.
    3. Bump motor over until you feel air forced out.
    4. Hand turn motor to TDC. (Harmonic Balancer mark and Pointer)
    5. If you go past TDC, Do not rotate motor backwards, Rotate motor TWO full revolutions by hand to TDC.
  2. Unplug the IP wires.
  3. Unhook Throttle linkage.
  4. Unplug High Idle Solenoid wire.
  5. Remove Throttle Return spring.
  6. Remove High Idle Solenoid.
  7. Unhook the Return Line on IP.
  8. Remove the Fuel Supply line.
  9. Unhook the Injection lines at the Injectors.
  10. Remove the Oil Filler Neck. (or IP gear bolt access cover)
  11. Remove the three 12 point bolts holding drive gear to IP.
  12. Put a mark between IP and IP cover to preserve timing.
  13. Remove the three nuts holding the IP to gear cover.
  14. Remove the IP.

Remove the Cold Start Solenoid. Makes getting the lower nut easier, and gives a little more room for finagling the IP out of the engine bay

Unplug High Idle Solenoid wire.
Remove Throttle Return spring.
Remove High Idle Solenoid.
