hey guys i havn;t been on in awhile cause im currently deployed. But while im over here im tryin to save up some money to finish all the major stuff on my truck. Anyways I found a supplier of the military hmmvw tires (37x12.5x16.5 goodyears) for dirt cheap, and id really like to clear em' on my rig. So i figure im gonna need at least a 6" spring lift, not too sure how much on the body but id like to keep it at a minimum. Also the superlift kit seems to be the best option and ive never heard anything bad about them. At the same time I lift it ive got a few 80's and 90's f350 4x4s to choose from back home (dont get excited they're all gassers) so im planning on swaping in a 60 in the front, which gear ratio would you recommend? (ive got 3.08's by the door sticker but im not totally convinced because its a 4x4). Any usefull info would be awesome. thanks guys
oh, one thing you need to know. the front axle d60 cant come with larger then 4.10's. if it does then you will have to buy gears and a new carrier for it. the carrier is 4.10 and down, 4.38 and up. carrier is only $100 but thats extra money you could put somewhere else.
gotta go with oreo on that the 4.10 will be a nice ratio for your 37s ive got 37s on mine now with the 4.10s and rpms are right were they need to be and it doesnt take any effort at all to get them rollin
ok ill look for somthing with 4.10's then. how bout the superlift kit any opinions?
my s10 has a superlift on and some tweaking that i have done as well to it but i never had a problem with it, its been on there for about 6.5 years now. for bigger trucks though im partial to skyjacker i love their kits... i like installing them, and how they are designed. i have the add-a-leaf (with a few of my own that i had) on my front end and their single steering stabilizer (soon to be the duals off the 99+ super duty) and their shocks all the way around as well
x2 on what rick said but as for the beer i cant promise anything cause itll be warm by the time it gets shipped to Florida but if youre up this way then itll be no problem
superlift has some soft ride springs that are nice, its getting harder and harder to find anything more then a 4" lift spring for our trucks. i think theres only one company anymore that still has a 6".
rick and roller' - thanks for your support, im accually enjoyin myself over-hear puttin they hurt on the bad guys and makin sure grunts always have planes overhead is what makes it worth it. after my opsec buddy gives me a thumbs up on it i have a few pics im sure you guys might like. also roller the skyjacker lift seems to be a little less expensive so im glad to hear it. As far as a 4" over a 6" lift goes... my stance on it is that id like to fit the tires but still have plenty of suspension travel (I trail-ride the hell out of this truck even though its a long bed, extended cab and these alot off really off camber stuff in fla where i go wheelin'.
oreo- happen to remeber who has those springs?
otahyoni-truck looks nice man, just for me those tires are cuttin it pretty close to the bed (not that i mind a little body damage)

a 6" lift would be your best option then as your truck is a 250 right? then the 6" will give you the height you want to fit the 37s and not have as many issues as with the 4" the 4' would fit the 37s but its more of a "look good" truck then with 6'' youll get the travel you want without taring into the body when hittin a large dip or boulder lol
