Over flow tank for 351w. where to locate?

Over flow tank for 351w. where to locate?
Hey guys.
I have 84 351w. It sits behind a 3 core radiator. I ordered a rather large overflow tank from a vender.
Does it matter where I mount the over flow tank? Does the top of it need to be higher than the radiator? It is a bottem fill overflow tank (also known as a puke tank). I hope you can see it below. It is the white bottle in the middle of the picture.
