would you by this engine?

There is a 96 with approx. 100000 miles on it, complete, that has been sitting for 2+ years. The guy bought it from an auto salvage yard as a running motor and never got around to using it he wants $600 for it. What would you check/look for if it were you?

I'd also pull the intake and check the turbo shaft for play.

That looked like a clean engine. As long as it turns over with a bar I would buy it. 7.3 core charges are usually $500. Looks like a good deal!

I went to look at a motor and the guy was hooking up jumper cables with the motor on the ground to show me the compression test. I had to bit my tongue LOL and watch!!
