Window crank options

i know im beating a dead horse but has any one modified stripped regulators? I was thinking of maybe finding handles that had square inputs and I can grind the out puts square or I could make handles but that would be a pain in the but.

Thats whats on there now lol! I would like handles if possible, kind of a pain in the but to use the vice grips. I have one handle thats striped out and missing the other. Id rather not replace the regulators seeing as my truck is used more offroad but it would be nice too roll up the window without scratching my primer lol.

Had a simular problem, if the grooves on the shaft handle are not too far gone took a mini file and reconditioned the grooves on the shaft and it has been working great since. Used a combination of small files, triangular, etc., what ever will recondition the grooves w/out rounding the edges. If this is an option, suggest replace the existing handle that has the damaged shaft.

My truck had vice grips for window cranks when I got it. I drilled all the through the shaft (it was ruined already) and used a longer set screw which went all the way through the shaft. Been holding up so far.

All 1961/66 trucks (C/F/H/N/NT/T) use the same window crank handles, as do 1961/65 Econolines.
