Second row bench to buckets

I'm thinking about putting bucket seats in my second row. Bench there now. The buckets would be coming out of my dad's 94 Aerostar.

I noticed the seat belts in his van are anchored to the floor. What all would I need to pull out of his van to retrofit the buckets and seat belts properly into my van? How much of a pain in the butt would it be? I figure the bottom anchor points would be there, just covered by carpet in mine.

Look in the van with the bucket seats to see how they are anchored to the floor. Can you move those as well and install into your van?

The second row buckets in my (former) '93 are not anchored to the floor. They are attached to the seats. I still have the seats and risers and seat belt mech's. for them. I can supply pics if needed.

I thought the buckets had the belts anchored to the floor. I haven't really looked into my dad's van in a while to actually check it out. The seats are in his shed, most any time I want to go get them I can. If the seat belts attach to the seats like on the benches, I'll be all set.

My Windstar has the belts for the bucket seats anchored to the floor. Those seats are quite easy to take in and out.

The retractable part of the belt assembly(nearest the walls) IS anchored to the floor, but that part is used with bench or buckets. The clip-in part is anchored to the seat, but you can re-use those parts from the bench on the buckets.

You might want to read a couple of threads that have been posted in the past concerning this. The first one is here. And the second one is here.

I took a look at the seats today. The driver's side bucket has a spot the the seat belt clips into, so I am good to go there. The passenger side bucket has no clip on it, as that part goes to the floor.

Now I get to find out how to take out whatever is needed from the '94, and put it into mine. I'm figuring the whole seatbelt assembly will have to come out. Any tips or tricks to doing this?
