Exclamation HELP HELP SOS!! EMERGENCY!!

HELP! My truck wont start!! I drove home last night after i changed my GP relay with a GPR-109 from Napa. Now this morning i go out and it wont fire! It turns over. I used ether just to test it and as soon as the ether burnt up it shut down (2 seconds later). I drained the fuel bowl and checked my filter. Replaced it and the bowl fills back up so its getting fuel that far.

I dont know what to do guys! I need help so bad! I been looking at relays and fuses and they appear to be in good shape....

I want to cry... help!

Any smoke from the tailpipe while cranking? Have you verified the fuses with a test light or meter?

How cold is it there? Ether obviously has a much lower flash point than diesel.... that would make it pop off without the glow plugs. Did you hook the relay up correctly? Also it is possible the relay was bad to start with. I bought a new one and it went out after a month!

Well its 76 now and was around 65 all night. So the temp is not a problem. I assume i did it correctly as it was only match the wires up. It started about 4 times and drove after i installed It.

As far as the smoke I do not believe there was any. Normally it puts out a good bit of white when i first start and am cranking ( when it wasnt broken) but today nothing.....

Also there is no Check Engine Light coming on...

I would start with the relay to double check that all was hooked up correctly. What's your battery voltage read? Are the connections nice and tight since the relay install. Also, take it easy on the ether. It's not recommended for our trucks.

All the fuses that seemed relevant i pulled out and looked at. I do have a meter i can go check for continuity on all of them. There is even a relay under the hood number 5 i believe and i swapped it with the exact same one and still nothing...

Oh yes i only ethered for a second to see if it would just fire. I know not to over do that so one squirt and i was done.

After searching on here i see something about the CPS. Would it be that? No CE light tho...

Cheak fuse #30 I think,(eather way the fuse for your fuel bowl heater) change it if its burned out and unplug your fuel bowl heater. See if that works.

Fuses under the hood... you'll find a 30 amp maxi fuse blown I bet. Unplug the fuel bowl heater, replace the fuse, and I bet she fires.

Yeah I 2nd on what flyin5 was saying....How cold is it there? Why did you change your GPR relay in the first place? Just asking cause I was having similar problems with my truck, so I changed mine and guess what still had the problem found out that I had 4 bad glow plugs. Changed them out and she runs great.

Just a thought. It could be your batteries.

If there's no smoke out the tailpipe while cranking, then the truck's not firing fuel.

So you'll have to figure out why the injectors aren't firing in the first place. Most common problem (and already mentioned) is the CPS. Other things that can cause a no start (with no fueling happening) are an IPR, ICP sensor, or other issues like bad or loose UVC harnesses, bad IDM, bad PCM, etc.

i was leaning torwards the fuel bowl heater myself, happened to me. turn over and no fire, though i think my check engine light was on....just wonder if when changing the gpr it might have shorted out that fuse.
