I think I am still on the money about a pilot bearing still in the back of the crank. Since the engine used to be mated to a stick, and you bolted it to an auto, that bearing had to be removed so the torque converter would mate flush to the flywheel. If not, it is being forced using the bolts to pull it together. Trans shop could have missed it since they were doing a r&i . To get a bearing out, once the trans is removed, fill the center of the bearing with grease. Use a wood dowel rod, or other round shaft which is a snug fit in the hole and drive it in the center. The pressure will push the bearing out. You could wrap electrical tape on an undersized shaft or dowel to get the diameter needed also.

I apologize F350V10 but I hijacked this thread. My transmission is the original auto transmission that was rebuilt and after 2 days the flex plate broke.

Thanks Mark I will look for that as well. May not necessarily be their fault but they should have noticed it or informed me if so.
