did ford make or has anyone put a stepside bed on a supercab dent? im toyin with the idea of stretching a stepside to fit my longbox chasis. picture would be great!
im considering useing one of the 50's f-2 beds with the side mount for the spare tire, i think itl look prety tight when im finished il be shure to post pics as i go...... if my wallet allows for such a mod.
Well, just thinking out loud here, wouldnt you have to use the SCS Modified wheelbase? The Stepside is only 6.5 ft. That means that the rear axle should be moved back right? So a lwb SCS would be the ticket right? Or am i all wet here?

No he wouldn't have to. Like I said, they make an 8 or 9 ft. Flareside bed they are just rare and are exactly the same as a regular styleside long bed as in length and maybe width with the fenders. A member on here has done this to his supercab, his name is Hairyboxnoogle. Here's one on a single cab Bumpside:
i have a 77 supercab shortbox 2wd and i was thinking of looking for a stepside for it, i think it would look pretty sweet but havent seen it done. is it possible to put an early 80's style stepside on one? IMO the 70's style stepsides dont really look right on the body and are fairly rare
