Why would you want to change as your 67 has a stronger Dana 44 than the 81 TTB axle. The 81 frame is much wider and the radius arms are probably longer so I'm assuming that you would have to move the mounts. Is your 67 axle a closed knuckle or and open knuckle axle? Did you want disc brakes?

I'm not familiar with the 67 Dana 44 to know if it has a closed or open knuckle. If it is closed type, then it can't really be converted or it is real expensive, as in a very expensive kit, I believe, which has been mentioned on this site. Then you would have to swap axles with any disc brake equipped axle to 79 with the same ratio. If it is open knuckle, you might be able to swap outers with another disc brake equipped 44, which your TTB 44 might work as a donor, of which I don't know. Someone will chime in with the proper info.
