Does the wire that runs power to the roof mounted marker lights run along the drivers side A-piller? I have a red wire under the interior trim that was cut and left dangling by the previous owner. I am guessing this must be it since the marker lights will not turn on.
Its under the dash by where the passangers right ankle will be while sitting in the truck. Im pretty sure theres a write up on it somewhere on here. Ill try and find it.
Behind the passenger's kick panel there is a two wire harness. That's it. But it is possible that someone putting them in not from the factory hooked them elsewhere.
Oh there is quite a mess under there. The previous owner had wired up some secondary lights, toggle switches for some unknown thing, a break controller, etc... He cut the wires all out, removed the lights and just left crap hanging in there.
Any good electrical guys around Indianapolis want to help a guy out? I am pretty good on the barbecue
To hook my cab lights up, I just tapped directly to the headlights and ran it thru the drivers side A-pillar. Thats also where my gauge light power source goes to. Only thing is when I turn on the high beams they flash. But thats okay, I never use my high beams anyway.
Pass side kick panel, ther is a bank of connectors, a 2 wire one is left w/ only one side it is brown & black wires. This feeds the roof mounted lights the factory harness goes up the pass post to the roof then across the roof to the 5 cab lights. Don't tap in anywhere else the factory harness is there, supplied, & fused just use it and get all the previous owners spaghetti wiring job out before you have an electrical fire.
