To keep salt and other road junk out of my locks, I jam some thick grease - like axle grease - into the key port. Never had a problem.....

Yea the grease idea is a thought.

I just bought one at the accessories place for about $25. I forget the name, its sitting in the truck. It looks like a good quality lock. The only thing is it doesn't fit in my pintle drawbar. The last one I had siezed up in there and it took a heck of a lot of effort to get it out (cutoff wheel, sledge hammer, torch, gear puller, and eventually an air hammer at the shop). The drawbar is solid and I think thats what part of it is - the rusting metal expanded around the pin. Might get a drill and ream it, then grease pack it.

The pintle hook is a good anti-rearend'ing device too. That and a great recovery point
