Just got back from a 3,100 mile, two week trip towing an 8k trailer from SW Utah to the Oregon coast and back. During the trip, I'm happy to say, the truck performed beautifully. I did everything I asked of it with more left in the tank. Highest EOT/ECT I saw was 228/218 and that was only for 30 sec or so. Occasionally I pushed the boost to 26 lbs.
I want to thank all here who answer questions and suggest answers. I undertook to get all the work done on the engine to eliminate or substantially reduce problems from the known issues with this engine.
BTW, if you are contemplating an EGR delete, read Cheezit's thread on leaving the EGR hooked up. The engine fan came on like it should have and shut off when it should have.
