Hello all. I'm new here and new to owning a diesel. A couple of months ago I purchased a 2005 F350 PSD with 57,000 on it. So far I have been nothing short of thrilled with this truck. Here's my question, I'm wanting to install a 3 gauge pillar pod. I see alot of abbreviations here (EOT, EOP, etc.) that I don't really know what they are. What three gauges would you guys recommend???
lakeman70: Welcome to FTE. I would recommend engine oil temp, engine coolant temp, boost, fuel pressure and exhaust gas temperature (especially if hot roding or towing). You may go either digital or the pillar pod. I went with the insight cts and love it.
I have a Edge Insight Multi-Gauge that monitors ECT;EOT;EGT;Boost It will also monitor volts on the 2004's You will need the optional EGT probe. You will also need a Fuel Pressure Gauge the the Insight will not monitor. The unit plugs into your OBD11 port under dash. The newer version that just came out is what Striderwv above is talking about is the Edge CTS & CS. You can look at them at the site. Edge Products| The Leaders in Performance Electronics
EOT Engine Oil Temp
ECT Engine Coolant Temp
EGT Exhaust Gas Temperature
Fuel Pressure
Boost
Volts
My cts does have a tire size adjustment, but I have not looked at it very closely since I am running stock size. Edge is working on adding fuel pressure to their EAS. It will daisy chain with their egt probe. That was the selling point for me. All five in one monitor, plus whatever toys they add in the future.
