Flatbed or dually bed?

Flatbed or dually bed?
OK, I bought a crew cab F350 with a flatbed on it. I'd like to put a camper shell on it so that I could have dry, secure storage. I've found a bed that I might be able to trade for but has a damaged left fender, no tailgate, and would require me to get a receiver hitch (none of which is much of a problem). My question is should I keep the flatbed and make a "box" to mount a camper shell to or go ahead with the trade?

Depends on what you use your truck for more. I love flatbeds. With some racks or rails on the sides theyre so much nicer for wood, immensely nicer for hay, and a hot tub just doesnt fit the same in a standard bed... A lot has to do with personal preference though. If I were you, I'd stick with the flatbed, but I'm sure there's other guys who would prefer a box...
