With all the troubles i ve been having with one of my vehicles iv been in and out of the dealer service dept alot. When i was there last the service manager was telling me about a"good deal".they had an 06 f350 ec lariat diesel 8ft bed.110k miles that was primarilly used to tow 5th wheel trailer.well the oil cooler leaked into the rad. and made a huge mess. he wants 10k for it and says it needs about 2k in parts and 2k in labor . What do any of you say about this. is this really some thing to look into or is it just a cluster f**k of problems. Thanks
LOL! Sound's like the dealership is saying that two birds in the bush are better than one in the hand... The problem is that his $2K in parts and $2K in labor could wind up being $6K in parts and $6K in labor. If you really like the truck, then ask the dealership to fix the truck and sell it for $14K.
