Sounds like I need to go to 355's with my 99 dually ...... my truck is in our shop today ... new fuel filter ...... getting a larger tranny cooler and piggy backing it to the stockl cooler .... so I will be running them in tandem for future use .....
Tomorrow I flush the tranny and put new fluid in it and filter ... etc ..... Have had the truck for about 40 days ...... and its about ready to haul .... had to put close to $2000 in it after i bought it ..... very sound truck ... just lots of little things wrong with it that add up after time
i got to make my 82 mile round trip to work today, 48 of that is crossing a 24 mile bridge, and the rest is mostly hwy and a few lights. i averaged 16ish, not bad coming from 12 with the 4.10's, but not as good as the SWR getting 17-18ish.
I just got to run my 3.55 LS unit for the first time yesterday. I LOVE them. I don't notice any difference hardly at all. Except for the huge RPM drop. I can hit 80 now and still don't see 2500 rpm like at 70 with the 4.10s. And it isn't so dang torquey at the low low end. Love it.
That's the part i love. I like when i hook to something it feels like it's going to pull the trailer from under the load
I can definitely appreciate that. They're total man-gears in our rigs. I just got tired of feeling like it was gonna pull my body out from under my head!
