I'd get the exhaust then the tuner so you keep your EGTs down and don't melt anything.

Clay at Riffraff Diesel always has good prices.

If you don't haul heavy or race alot and dont plan on doing much more. I would get the tuner and not worry about big exhaust. Wait your sig is not showing any gauges so how would you know if you had a EGT issue? If you get a tuner you need gauges JMHO.

Which ever I choose will come from Clay at Riff Raff!!

I have gauges, so I am aware of EGTs, I do however tow a camper. My mods aren't for racing, it's an Excursion... She hauls all of my kids, my crap, my camper, and most importantly ***!! Ha ha sorry had to go there. Personally I am leaning towards the exhaust, because I feel it will be more beneficial over the long term...

DP. no question. If you are not hauling big, and already have gauges DP. My .04 (inflation.)

I would say put the work in and get the exhaust out of the way. That way the hard part is done and you can enjoy the DP.

A nice 4" exhaust is always nice to have and looks good but usually not needed. It will help your EGT's if you are having a problem already. Don't you know you can race EXCURSION'S just ask this forum. Good luck with your mods.

Ok, so the general consensus is exhaust. I am super stoked about it, I hope it sounds awesome! The walker is so-so, better than stock... On another note, the DP I really want is slightly over my budget (slightly).

Here is a dumb question, I did the foil delete, and intake... Will the 4" make her whistle any louder??

Okay I admit, I got my DP and MBRP from clay at the same time. He might be smarter than me in diesel speak, so go with the exhaust sir. (It is badass)

Is there a noticeable power gain with the exhaust? I mean there has to be, right?

Not really but there is a noticeable don't melt parts of your truck difference.

With a DP and 4" exhaust I can get EGTs to 1100-1200* just hammering on the truck on the interstate unloaded.

In my experience, the mbrp adds some noise, but not over the top. I can turn around in my neighbors driveway in the A.M. without waking them, but still scare a bum when I nail it. No offense to bums or those riding mopeds or Chevys.

I'd go for the DP 1st. I just have the stock exhaust & did a muffler delete. Someday i'll upgrade my exhaust, but its not at the top of my list. I tow a 9000 lb 5th wheel & as long as I keep an eye on my gauges, especially pulling big hills, I don't have to many issues with the EGT's. I use the 60 tow in my DP, kick it out of OD to keep my RPM's up & my EGT's usually stay in a safe range.

your change to the walker muffer was a good choice. If you have no cat then exhaust isn't much help. The DP tuner will work just fine with the walker muffer. Now if you go big on the trailer every little bit helps. Good luck I love my dp tuner and am going to send it back for up dates and even more tunes. Chet
