Overhead console/temp-direction problem
Like everyone else, mine went blank-though if I bumped it it would display then go blank. I removed it as per the directions on other web sites. My circuit board did have one 510 resistor missing and another 510 resistor barely hanging on. This is due to too much heat causing the solder joints to fail.(bad design). The resistor is a 51 OHM resistor(I checked with an OHM meter). Went to Radio Shack & got 100HM resistors(closest they had). These resistors have long leads. I left them long and soldered them so they would hang outside of the circuit board(to stay cooler). Put all together. Works GREAT! A 99cent plus tax fix!!!
