i saw info on skid plates awhile back but can't find it, anyway, my wife has a 97 exp. 4x4, she was at the dealer yesterday and they gave her a price of $280.00 for the 3 plates, hardware not included. is this about right? thanks in advance
What skid plates were they, I called a dealer yesterday and he told me the transfer case plate was $28.00 and the others were a little bit more but not $280.00.
gas tank was one, transfer case and the front axle i believe were the other 2, i will have to check when i get home, my wife ask the dealer for skid plates
I just bought the skid plates from a local dealer - the front and transfer case plates total about $65 - the fuel tank one will get you though, it's north of $150. Once you see it, you will know why...
Oh my god my A$$ is beleeding....................... Now I know why we call them stealerships. I was wrong and you guys were right the gas tank plate was $172.00 OUCH. Gotta bite the bullet on this one. I can't believe no company makes Aftermarket plates for the Expy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent an e-mail to my local Ford dealer asking them what they are selling the set for. I'm too scared to call and ask. I don't want to be violated over the phone. I've searched a lot and cannot find anyone that makes skid plates for the Expedition, except for a front skid plate.
I know the feeling. And to top it off the front plate is only for the Westin Bull Bar .......... Don't have it Dont want it just useless extra weight. It does suck to have to go to the stealership but in this case we have no choice.
