I love my spartan but doubling your mileage is not going to happen. Its already been said here but 2-3mpg gains are more realistic with the higher hp tunes.
these trucks just arent built for mileage, plain and simple.
I increased my mileage 2-3mpg by using a Cetane booster. It would be nice to get a 2-3mpg gain without running an additive, too. kyle, do you run an additive too, and if so, do you actually get 4-8mpg better than stock? If so, I might get a Spartan.
WTF, did you mean to log off and log on as someone else, or what? You answered yourself, then answered yourself again. I'm calling BS as I'm sure others would like to, though they may have figured it was a waste of time.
So here's what I did....
I went to NADP in Edmonton, and they suggested the Edge Racing Evolution, so I went with the CTS, did an intake, and DPF delete. Goodbye warranty, hello mileage. The moment I picked it up, I went from (on the lie o meter at that point) 23l / 100 km, down to 13 - 15. I have a titan tank and was getting 500 - 600 km out of it, and the most I've done so far is 1100, with a quad in the box. I'm happy to say the least. That was almost all highway and cruising around 108 km/hr. Since it's dropped way below freezing that number has gone way down tho, only getting between 7-850 km / tank. I'm using the economy setting. Tried the towing setting, but the truck didn't seem to run as well.
Here's a question, when changing between settings, should you run it in stock for a bit then a power setting?
Bottom line, I'm VERY impressed. May do it on my '08, and other '10 trucks in my fleet.
