Question Rubber Floor Mats????

So I really love my new truck (goes without saying), but I want to save those carpet floor mats they give us and put in some rubber ones. What kind are you guys using???

Any good reccomendations for a good quality front AND rear floor rubber mats?

not exactly made of rubber but Weathertech Floorliners digital fit mats (front and rear) provide the best coverage I've ever seen, I really like them. They are expensive though.

Again shotgunner gently and nicely tells you to LOOK /SEARCH BETTER, whilst also giving you the links.

On same subject the Ford OEM rubber ones are nice too. Not really rubber, but vinyl (and they describe them as vinyl) but heavy and a good buy. But then again Weathertech IS da bomb.

They're even better when the dealer kicks them in with the deal, like mine did.

I ordered my truck with the rubber mats... had it for about 16 months now, 42K on the clock. Already worn a hole through the driver's side mat where the heel of my boot rests while operating the pedals. Drat.

I've used the same set of Ford rubber floor mats in 3 trucks in the last 6 years. They've held up great. Wash them off and they'll look brand new. I think they're the heavy duty or extreme weather ones (or something like that). The driver's one has a hole in it that the hook in the floor fits into to keep it from sliding forward under the pedals. They have deep grooves and channels in them that keep the dirt and slop off of your shoes.

Ive never understood carpet floor mats, especially in a truck. Carpeting yes, carpet floor mats, no. We track in mud, snow, dirt, and everything else and they stain very easy and dont catch slush or water. I always replace them ASAP with rubber floor mats. On a side note, I really like these OEM floor mats that came with my FX4.

The Ford set works great for me. Heavy duty. The set comes with full coverage mat for rear if you have SCrew. Cost was about $80 for the set from my dealer. You can see them on the Ford F150 homepage in the Accessories tab.

Yeah I am sure they would work well, but I think I am sold on the weather tech ones here.
Does anyone know if you can get them where they fit around the manual transfer case?

You can buy directly from Weathertech. By the time you factor in shipping, they turn out to be about the same cost regardless of where you buy them.

The carpet around the transfer case won't be covered, but these should work WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - FloorLiner? DigitalFit ® - 2009 Ford F-150 - WeatherTech FloorLiner - car floor mats liner, floor tray protects and lines the floor of truck and SUV carpeting from mud, snow, water and dirt

You could also check Huskyliners. Husky Liners® - Floor Liners | Floor Mats | Car Floor Mats | Cargo Liners | Mud Flaps | Huskyliners.com They're a little less expensive and also offer good coverage.

Thanks shotgunz.......do you think the 2009 ones will fit just fine for my 2010 truck? It shouldnt be much different. I dont want to get anything to cover up the carpet around the transfer case, just get something for the driver and passenger area. But it said on the site it wont work with models that have the manual transfer case.

There isn't any difference between the 09-10.

I'd e-mail or call them: Customer Service - Home

Mine came with the Ford all weather mats. They definitely are thinner that the ones of the past. I have a set for my Excursion and they are much thicker and heaver rubber. I can see them wearing out quicker.
