IAH delete throwing ses code.
Anyone do the delete and the have it cause the ses to come on for low voltage. I live in Vermont but hasn't been cold just cool. It happened today after filling up.I drove the 0.7 mile to work no light, sat for 5 hours, in mid 50's,start it up and light on. I thought this only worked under certain conditions. This is on a 01 excursion with 7.3. Thanks.

I have done the mod, but in Southern CA it never really gets cold enough to throw a code. Here's what activates the AIH (from www.dieselsite.com):
"To reduce white smoke during long idle periods at low ambient temperatures, the PCM will activate the intake air heater. Specific conditions must be present before the heater is activated: "
-ambient temperature must be below 0 deg C (32 deg F)
-engine oil temperature must be below 55 deg C (131 deg F)
-vehicle power must be between 11.8 and 15 volts
-parking brake must be applied on manual transmission vehicles
-the transmission must be on park or neutral on automatic transmission vehicles
-glow plugs must be off
If you are throwing the P0541 code you can buy this to get rid of it:
Air Intake Heater Plug Code Eliminator P0541
