Service Engine Light - No Code

I have an 01 excursion withe the 7.3L. My SES light came on a while back and had a replace #8 glowplug code. The truck started blowing white smoke and then would not start so i had it looked at. The service guy said I needed two injectors. I asked him to replace the glowplug while at it. Now the SES light is still on and there is no code.... I have disconnected the batteries and hooked them back up to try to reset it. it worked for a few minutes but came back on. any ideas??

what are you checking the codes with.

i first pulled the code with the programer i have. it is a Diablo .... The guy at Spartan Diesel shop said he could not pull a code with his programer.

It doesn't sound like much of a diesel shop if he doesn't have a scanner that can pull a code from the 7.3 diesel.

Are you looking for a way to get the code pulled, or a shop to fix it for you?
