Find the metal fuel rail on top of the engine that runs along the top of the injectors on each side. On the end you will find a round canister with a vacuum line going to it. This is the fuel regulator. Pull the rubber line off. If it has fuel in it, the regulator is bad.
Also check the codes like was mentioned previously. If you are going to do your own work on this truck, you need to learn how to communicate with the computer, it's not bad once you get the hang of it.

It should be on on the fuel rail, it is round with three bolts in a triangle. it also has a vacumn line running to it. ( this is a guess your efi is earlier than the 460 i had, but it is worth looking in to)
