When I went to spend the money they answered on the first ring. After that they were rude on the phone, that is if they would ever answer the phone. They would not return phone calls nor would they answer emails. My first experience with them was the baby bean injectors I run. At first my old injector cups, etc. were fine. Then all of a sudden all eight were shot. Ryan Bean almost doubled the price of the injectors. When I finally got him on the phone he agreed to split the difference with me. I said fine but the experience with the D66 I finally, after not getting any results, emailed Ryan himself. He just flat *** said he was glad to get rid of me as a customer!!

All I wanted was some help. My D66 will not spool until I'm rapped out 2,500 or above. I used Beans brass donuts and they leak. I don't have baby hands to retorque them after doing a heat cycle on them. I bought some bellow uppipes to stop the leaks. The leak is small so I don't see how this small leak can cause the extreme no and low spool at lower RPM's. Before I had a stock turbo with the 1" housing and that turbo would out perform the D66 by a long shot. I think you might be getting the point that I'm not very happy!! If the bellows don't help then I'll have a D66 for sale. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy it has worked for you. I'm just very disappointed that I used to have a kick *** pulling machine and now I have a struggling, high EGT machine. When I'm down to 20mph in 1st gear and with the stock turbo the lowest I ever got on the same hill was 43mph, yes, I'm disappointed!
Well this story right here just convinced me to never spend any money with Bean's. That kind of crap is just plain uncalled for.

Will your D66 spool up quickly, mine just sits on zero or maybe two or three pounds until my RPM's get up above 2,500.

Talyn, Its really sad. I feel if a customer has trouble, he should be able to get help. I think they have caller ID because after several calls they stopped answering my calls altogether. I then emailed Ryan directly and expressed my thoughts about my stock turbo with the 1" housing versu the D66. I made the statement that the D66 is going in the trash and I'll get another stock turbo. I don't think he liked me saying that. Instead of reselling the D66, I feel as a customer I can do whatever I want to do with the D66, its my right. Well, he got all pissey about that!
myn seams 2 be working good, i did my chip and turbo and injecter all bout the same time though, my boost gauge line is jacked so cant tell you on the boost right now, i no on my chip in stock or ecomay set it is dogy, but light tow its hot and snappy but i think thats cause of injctercs since they are spilts, i am in stock mod now cause beans has my chip re burning it, i get it back and gauge fixed ill let you no, i really do feel bad how they trated you, and i agree thats not right, reminds me of banks!!! i was putting a turbo on my 93 and yeah i called a lot was about 2 drop3000 buck i had ??? thats why it has an ats on it!!!

I will appreciate it if you let me know. I haven't had a lot of people to talk to about the D66.

x2. I don't give a hoot if the product is amazing, with these kind of things, customer service is way more important if you ask me. It's just sad to see the love of being a diesel enthusiast get cheapened by the desire to make money. IMHO, it should always be about helpin people to have the best dang truck they can get, by their standards, not your own. everyone has different goals/purposes...

Daniel, I see you dug up a old thread. I have to come to the defense of Beans now after he apologized to me. This happened in a thread about Neal getting on his dyno to try out his tunes. In that thread I mentioned that he was 'glad to get rid of me as a customer'. Well, he PMed me and offered me free turnes if I provided a chip. I took him up on it and I'm happy with the tunes.

As far as the D66, the bellow up pipes solved that problem. No more leaks and it works good. It spools up quick and is good for the pulling I do. All is good now.

well i guess that's a good thing... but did he apologize because he treated you wrong, or was it just cause you called him out on it? If it was just cause you called him on it, i'll stick to my opinion, but if he was legitimately apologizing, then that's a different story i guess... I think i'm still a little weary though... as for the D66, do you think it's worth it, or would it be better to just go to a T4 mount and get a different turbo?

I have to give him credit, its because he treated me wrong. He admitted to it because of this and that, etc. Anyway, its all good now. Its not every day a guy will do that. I think the D66 is great, it pulls my 5er down the freeway at 70 mph. Its a terrible waste of fuel but I love to leave it on cruise and sit back and watch it perform. With all my gauges its like watching a good movie. Only when my EGT's get over 1250* will I kick it out of cruise and overdrive. As far as the T4 and a different turbo I don't know. Maybe one of these years, LOL.

well okay, so now he's pretty much redeemed himself... but i'm still trying to decide who to get tunes from, so i guess we'll see... lol so far DP is in the lead, but i'm not sure... haha with these trucks, anything over that little red line on the speedo (55) is wastin fuel! lol but you don't see the Prius with a 5er on it, do ya? lol could be worse, we could have the 7.5l 460 in em...
