E4OD gurus! 2nd gear and reverse problems! help!

my transmission lost second gear, so i pulled it out replaced 2nd gear clutches, they were gone, put it back together, now it is really sloppy going into 2nd gear and my reverse... when i back up and give it a lot of gas, it locks up and tries to kill the motor everytrhing is in a bind!!! help!! i wonder if i didnt get one of those little check ***** in the right spot? everything else works fine

oh, the intermediate sprag, it spins counterclockwise and locks clockwise.. i had to put a new one in there cuz it wasnt holding either way. i dont remember which way its supposta turn is what im saying!

it doesnt kill the motor like the converter locks up, it just stops backing up like ur holding the brakes and mashing the gas at the same time, but not holding the brakes, the faster the motor spins, the tighter everything gets, which makes me think its just a shuttle ball somewhere missing, im not sure though

i had the same problem mine was 1 and reverse what fixed it was like you said the ***** in the valve body and also i had some missing where someone had messed with it if you want i can send you the diagram so you can figure out where they go and you can get the ***** for 8 dollars for them all and the guy at the trans shop told me its better to replace them all when you do it

im going to pull the valve body and inspect the ***** right now, a diagram would be helpful, send it to rockindawg14 aol .com

HELP! I rebuilt my e4od transmission(yay me!!!), but I had problems. After I installed it, crossed my fingers, and drove off it shifts really REALLY hard into second. It revs high then feels like I slammed on the brake before KLUNK! It shifts. It has no problem if I manually shift it into second' but shifting into second when in drive is scary as hell. I feel like fear it'll explode or something every time.

a couple things I forgot to mention. I installed a superior transmissions shift correction kit. The line pressure was way too high, which is why I'm pulling it again. I'm pretty sure I know why the pressure is too high, I just don't know if fixing that will fix the shift problem as well. Should I keep my eye open for anything else?
