89 runs like crap
my friends bronco runs like crap. it has the 5.0l . originally the original motor had no power at all when you would step on it, not even enough to back it on to a trailer. he swapped another 5.0 out of his 91 f150 that onnly had 100k miles on it and ran really good. after he swapped the motor it ran good then it would run good some days then bad the oher days now it just runs bad. any clues on what to look for?

Check for codes first, then report back and maybe we can go from there? apparently the problems aren't engine-related per se, they seem to be related to the peripherals in the chassis.

thats what i was thinking was fuel pressure. he said when his dad helped him put the engine in that he hit the valve on the fuel rail to purge the air. at first it didnt do much and then the 2nd time it shot fuel out. i will see if he wants me to pull codes for him.
