100 bucks ain't too bad, little high but I'd grab it if I needed it. To make sure its right, measure where the boots connect to it from the intakes. They should measure 2 3/8", superduty ones measure 3".

you wont find an early 99 spider for much under 100, go snake it while you can. if not you can make your own like i did, its not pretty but it does the job

This is how I found mine....

Looked up a used engine on car-part.com for 1999 SD built before 12/6/98. Some of them denote *burned or *core only... Grabbed a pad and pen then started making phone calls. The worst parts were getting them to understand EXACTLY what you want and that it MUST be from a truck built before 12/98. I bet I called 20-30 places before I found this one in at a yard in Iowa, $110 shipped.

Not sure if this makes the price go up or down but I never mention that I'm trying to UPGRADE my truck, just that mine broke. I think that when they think your playing around instead of trying to get it fixed the price goes up.

Happy hunting.
Jason
