Here in college, I'm taking tech courses and that leads to long boring nights, so we make frequent trips to Hobby Lobby for models and to joke about fake grapes and nudie statues. You know, you never see old ford truck models, except for the '53 flipnose and lightnings. Has anybody ever seen a model of any ford trucks between the sixties and the nineties? I'd love to have a nice shelf of trucks-a 69 shortbed, 74 highboy, 77 f100, 85 bronco.....I guess i could make my own in panel fabrication class...there's a thought. I could buy a model for the running gear and fab a body...boy that'd be rough. Anybody ever seen any?
Here's a 1980 Bronco I did. My brother-in-law gave it to me for x-mas probably atleast 7 years ago. I finished it with the paint just this past year. I also have a 97 F-150 supercab flareside from my sister that needs to be finished.
I hear you, there needs to be a better assortment of models.
I agree fellas, I enjoy my models almost as well as my trucks, and I'm not too bad of a hand at it either if I do say so myself, I'll have to post some pictures too. I have 2 trucks in my collection at the moment, a 49 F-1, and a 97 F-150. The only one I have found for 80-86 is the bronco, rather depressing isn't it? If you find any 80-86 or 65 ford trucks PLEASE post where at. Thanx.
I went to a big model store in West Edmonton mall and I spent about a half an hour with a guy looking through books and we found one 91 F350 crew cab dually, but that was all. I told him if he ever found an 80-86 to call me and i would buy it right away but he said they were never made. It doesn't make much sense seeing as they were the best selling truck in those years.
I just searched through that site, and although they did have a lot better selection than any other I have ever seen, I saw no 60's, no 70's, 1 80's stepside, several 80's broncos, and several 90's trucks. So, unless I missed something somewhere, I'm still looking. I myself am looking for a 65 2wd 1/2 ton, and an 83 4wd 3/4 ton. I realize that the second one is a little specific, but I can make the mods myself if I could just find a 2wd 1/2 ton. Thanx for the link though, I saw several cars I will probably buy to do for my collection as I just aquired my grandmother's old lighted china hutch. My models, although few at this point, look pretty cool on the glass shelves. I'll have to take some pictures to post, even though I only have 2 trucks in the collection at this time. Later fellas.
Look under Revell Monogram Models.Type that name in your search box on your screen and go on their website. They got all sorts of models on their.I found one that was a 80's bronco. But look on their for your old truck models maybe they'll have them.:-X12
The Courier was the mid-size truck truck that Ford offered from 1976-1982. During this time, the Ranger was still an option package on the full size trucks. Basically, it was a Mazda truck with a few Ford decals on it. They were tough little trucks though--you couldn't tear them up. Believe me...I tried....

I have been collecting 73-79 ford truck models for 6 months now and have amassed quite a few, including the 79 bronco. They have not been in poduction for over 20 years so it can be tough to find them but not impossible.
