That Dynomax kit is exactly like the stock Y pipe.
The stock Y pipe was bad, that Dynomax Y is just as bad.
Exhaust comes down the drop tube, and runs straight into the inside side of the pipe it is joining.
Instant back pressure to the drivers side head and probably about half that much to the passenger side head since 1/2 the exhaust from the drivers side head is trying to go the wrong way toward the passenger side head.
Get both down pipes pointed to the rear and you have much better flow.
Also an increase in pipe size from where the two down pipes come together to the rear of the truck lets it breath.
Ld3 looks same as stock, sorry but I'll stick with my 3" down pipes off the manifolds into a magnaflow dual 3" in single 3" out y. Which then leads to my single 4" pipe. The only way my truck can breathe better is if I bought the headers made for our trucks. That "t" is terrible for power and anyone who has ditched it will vouch for that.
