Can someone please tell me where and how many grease zerks are on my 1999 superduty crew cab 4x4 diesel. I have replaced both wheel ball joints with greaseable joints. Thanks
from the factory none, but if you replaced the ball joints with greaseable ones, the bottom joint points down and the upper has a plug that needs to be removed ehd a 90 degree installed greased and then removed and the plug reinstalled
And if you've replaced any of the steering linkage or u-joints, you may have some there. My front end has 4 for the ball joints (2 of them have the caps like SuperDutyScaler mentioned) and 4 for the steering linkage. The rear drive shaft on a CC has 3 u-joints.
my 04 only has the steering from the factory. now the rear u joints have them cuz i replaced them other than that there is none. maybe the 05 and newer have them
The front axle U-joints have zerks from the factory. Those are the only original equipment zerks on the truck.
It depends on the year. My truck has stock steering components with grease fittings on each tie rod end and both ends of the drag link. And the ones on the front axle U-joints.
