Took my original to the local Rad shop and they re-cored it with 4 rows of core tubes, didn't want fitment issues or the hastle of fabing new mounts, etc....

They can relocate inlet & outlets too if necessary

The stock radiator works fine, and if it's not in bad shape, wouldn't even need to be recored. 6 cylinder radiators work better because they already have only one inlet and outlet. The only downside is you can't run a normal pressure cap on them, so you lose the benefit of the higher boiling point with 14lbs. of system pressure.

I got a 1970 mustang radiator for my 51. It fits inside the stock radiator support, all I will need to do is make some simple brackets to bolt it to the original support holes. I got it at advanceauto for like 140 bucks on an online sale.

Some have used the mid 70's Dodge radiator, and if I was using anything but a flathead, that's what I would consider first, only because I'm cheap, lol.

I am using the Dodge radiator with a sbc however. The bottom hose is on the passenger side and the top hose is on the drivers side (right hand drive truck!). Pic in my gallery.

Yeah, that's what I see from doing a search on it. Everyone's doing it with a sbc and my sbf water pump has the lower hose exiting on the driver's side and the upper is on the pass. side.

I'm pretty sure that a water pump for a 69 bronco 302 exits on the passenger side, if you want to go through the trouble to change it.
