Judging from recent headlines, a lot of folks have forgotten...........
There will be plenty of footage of that day played repeatedly today,.........watch and remember.
I`ll be out waving the Stars and Stripes over the freeway here in town, count on it. Last year the police made me leave because someone took offense, remember?
Wonder what Obammy has planned if anything..
Working nights this weekend, so I slept thru all the coverage this morning. But I, like everyone else won't ever forget that day. Lets remember and pay our respects.
Unfortunately, more folks have forgotten than this vet would care to know. While at work today and out on walk about, I was randomly asking people if they remembered the significance of today. Not surprising, many didn't know or care to know.
No matter what political affiliation you may have, no matter what religious road you choose to follow, no matter how you feel about anything, please take a few moments today to remember lives lost and changed by the attack nine years ago, and reaffirm our heritage as Americans. May God Bless America!

Unless you were a young child I just can't imagine how you could forget a day like today.
From the light response to this thread, to the scaled back media coverage, to the willingness to let bygones be bygones, just 2 blocks from ground zero..........I would say a lot of people would rather just forget the Pearl Harbor of our times..........shameful.
I was up there for a few hours with my wife and son and we had alot of honking and waving from cars an trucks as they passed. Wife and son swear that in two instances they were flipped off,sad
In years past more peeps would show up and wave with us but I guess thats their loss because they missed out on something that really makes you feel good inside.
I hung a 5x8 flag over the side and we all held other flags
God Bless,,,,,,,,,

I think it has more do to with the drama of the past month surrounding different aspects 9/11. Folks tire of the distractions.
For me, quiet repose and much reflection of the losses were the order of the day.
