I have an 06 250 psd and just got it back from ford (today) where it had the inner housing on the turbo replaced along with the BP seal. I noticed that when i come to a complete stop the truck begins to smoke (coolant smoke), and when i excel it fades away. I called the service dept and they said that it may smoke for a few days of normal driving? Does this sound right, i would imagine that any coolant that remained in the motor would of burnt off pretty quickly. Any help on the matter is appereciated.

Yours is doing exactly what mine did a few months ago when I had had the turbo center section replaced. I took it in for white smoke out the exhaust on acceleration. During diagnostics they also found the EOT/ECT spread was over max recommended so they ended up replacing the oil cooler when they replaced the turbo center section. When I got it back it was smoking worse than when I took it in. Initally I wasn't a happy camper and thought I was going to have to take it back in. But I thought that maybe there was some assembly lube in the turbo or oil had gotten in the exhaust that was going to take a little while to burn off. I gave it a few days and sure enough the smoke went away. Truck's running like a champ.
