i'll get it all tested soon as i fix the radiator hose. both the pressure test and the other test. as soon as possible...even renting cost more money than i have right now...
any other reasons that the bubbling would occur? i understand it could be a head gasket...or intake gasket or any gasket that has to do with coolant. i ordered the head gaskets and i'll be getting the intake and valve cover gaskets when i get my new carburetor.....to swap in a 4 barrel....
because i'm sure that it will need them and since im putting a new intake on i figured i'll go ahead with the head gasket...i'm sure it won't hurt it to have them since the clutch was already worn out it has to have some miles on it and countless heat to get to the gasket...luckily i have iron heads and not the usual aluminum ones...
okay i'm still at a loss... i change over to the 4 barrel intake and carb...never did the head gaskets because the guy on ebay i got them from sent me exhaust gaskets and didn't know what he was talking about...exhaust manifold gaskets for a boat 302 of all things...crazy guy...anyway...i put in a new t-stat and got it running sweet...but still everytime i turn it off after it running for a little bit...it's gurggling when i shut it off. and sometimes i see steam coming from the vent tube. anymore input guys?
that 150 is only a deposit. you get it all back. pressure testing will tell of any leaks. you pump it up to around what your cap is rated at and see if the needle drops. if not, you have a leak free cooling system. if it does, go from there. could be a loose hose clamp, leaking radiator, or even a head gasket. to cool properly the cooling system has to be able to hold pressure.
i know it's a deposit but i don't have 150 to dish out...even if i get it back shortly after...i absolutely have 24 dollars to my name right now...i've redone all of my hose clamps...but i will try to borrow the money and see if i can get it borrowed.
