Vacuum line Question

I have a vacuum line that runs from a vac tree on the back of the motor that goes from rubber hose into metal line, it runs down beside the transmission turns back into rubber hose and has a bolt in the end to plug it. The other one in the pic goes to the modulator. The one that is plugged is the smaller one behind the transmission dip stick. What could it be for?

Some C6 transmissions had modulators that had two vacuum lines going to them. A PO probably replaced that one with the more common single line modulator and left the unused line hanging.
Originally, the second line tied into the emission system.

The other day i was taking off the old cruize control until in my engine and it was a vacuum hose to the tree which i plugged with a bolt. It could very easily also be from a previous cruize control unit someone took off.

The truck doesn't have cruise, so i'm sure thats not it. However i did notice the modulator stripe was green and i have read they should be black or purple.
