Can you drive the truck with the cover fully opened? It looks like it would rub against back of truck? Just asking.

You can - there are two retractable struts that hold it in place and a protective rubber strip to protect the cab when it is fully open. Of course you can forget about using your rearview mirror!

Yes you can as mentioned above - look at the pictures in my gallery and you can see some up close shots - I have actually driven with the cover fliped up and locked with the supports at over 90 mph to "test out" what was going to happen - and all was no problem what so ever but be fore warned - as stated above as well - no rear -view mirror. But with the new lock pick just turn on your rear view camera.........

FYI - If anyone here is interested in ordering a BAK-Flip so that you can open your tool box like mine and have it under the cover - I have a specific model number of tool - box that will fit under the rails and I have the ordering instructions for the BAK-Flip so you have enough room for the top to open - as you need a custom fit cover to give enough room.

Keep in mind you only have to unscrew two ***** (by hand) to remove the entire cover. So if you plan ahead, it is super easy to remove the cover (minus that rails) and haul anything like the cover wasn't ever there....

If you get lucky, and you buy it from a good parts place, they will misquote your price and then stand behind the quote and let you have it at the quoted price.... which for me was a $238 savings.

Well the rails are the problem - if you plan on putting a box in your bed under your BAK-Flip you need a box that is not as wide as the rails or you will be spending 30 minutes everytime you open your truck box - which for me is not an option as I am a contractor and need access to my box on a contant basis.

One more thing I forgot to mention - is that taking the cover on and off is not as simple as it sounds - you can do it but there is a bit of fitment involved with getting the cover to fit just "perfect" between the front bulkhead and the tailgate - there is a sweet spot that without it the front leaks or the back has gaps that would enable someone to open the cover even if the tailgate is locked.

Easiest thing to do is to mark a reference point onthe rails with a piece of tape do you can put the cove back of in the same place every time.

Also you can open the cover with a coat hanger pretty easily and especially of you have the man step on your tailgate!

Mine is "as easy as it sounds"... took it off and on a couple times by myself just to see how it would work. Mine fits easy and no leaks, except at the tailgate cracks... I have the regular BakFlip HD on my '11 F250 CC SB.
Wonder what the difference is between the covers we have....

The only difference is the outside "skin" - the HD is aluminum and the F1 is fibreglass.
