I'm not sure anyone ever actually wants to get rid of a HP D60...but I'm sure for $1200-1500 you could at least purchase one...shipping would be killer though.
i have a dana 60 for sale on kijiji right now. im looking for a narrow frame dana 60 for my highboy. i dont think im going to butcher my frame or the 60 i have now to make it work. ill keep checking
Dang...you close to Appleton, Lacrosse or Madison? I have family there that would hold on to it for me if the price was right. FWIW...78/79 HP D60's, are basically a direct bolt in for dentsides.
I know of two trucks down here that could be had complete for $1,000 a piece. Part/scrap the rest and you'd have a high pinion 60 for around five bills. I already have my 60, so I'm waiting for some extra discretionary income to be able to buy these two others. They are sitting in two different fields in the middle of nowhere, so they'll be there waiting. The one nice thing about my job is that I get to explore every inch of this state.
I know what you mean, I am retired and all I do is loook at dents, and 67 to 72 ford trucks, have the map and travel dailey to get items, or deals, the 78 I have sat in a barn for 15 or so years, after the guy went thru put all new components in the brakes and axles, thats how I found the super camper special complete truck for 150.00 60 K miles and a running 460

Really??? I'm not that far away from Madison, probably around 4 hours. That seems like a pretty good deal. I may be interested in one of those trucks.
