hello everyone, does anyone have the factory hp and torq specs for a 86' f150 302 v8 efi.? its a daily driver ( thinking of fuel ). but i still wanna sup it up a bit. any ideas? i have a 77' f250 w/ 460 v8 in the back yard( i had it a month and a hell storm destroyed it. ). i thought about droping 460 in the f150 and then i thought again . as a daily driver in houston texas. i wouldnt make it. so... back to supping up the 302. any ideas and what are the specs? i looked every where.
I've always heard they help with saving fuel, since they allow the motor to breathe better....I don't know from experience though, I've just read around.
yeah pretty much. tunig and lubing is on the agenda for the rest of 2010. lol, im already shopping christmas. (headers w flow master exhaust) if all is well at the end of the year of course (lol, i dont like our president). back to the stock hp. no luck. im sure the question is common enough to have a answer some where. I come from a ford family (f series, broncos, and mustangs) 91' bronco 351w 210hp, 93' mustang 302 high output 240hp we think. 86' f150 302 ?hp. the reason for my concern is this. if the power i want is already there. fine tuning and some modification is good enough for me. I've tried haynes and chilton, no luck there. anywho, I'll find it. off to the garage. later fellas.
I find a vacuum gauge is a good device to monitor fuel economy, or training your foot to go lightly on the petal. If you can keep the vacuum needle steady, then you are getting the best mileage.
