For those of you that have bitc*** in the past about Fords price for SP and LV tranny fluid, I just picked up 3 qts. at Honda for the daughters Civic. $7.24 a qt. plus tax. That Ford pricing aint looking so bad right now.
No thats a bit cheaper but the problem is we need allot in the superduty. I just switched my motor oil to Mobil 1 turbo diesel truck 5w40 and it was just a bit over $7.00 a qt. Dam that was $110.00 just for the oil plus filter. Found it this weekend at wally world for $21.00 a gallon though so that made me much happier.
Just serviced my transmission and changed the internal and external filters over the holiday weekend and I paid $5.89 a quart for the Mercon SP. I did not think that was too bad considering how much everything else on my truck costs.

Just a heads up for future reference, the int. filter only needs to be serviced during a rebuild. I'm sure you noticed by its design that it only stops trees and boulders. The ext. filter actually does the filtering.
I just figured that while I had the pan dropped to clean the magnet I would slap a new internal filter on as well. Anything to get more of that effin' nasty, stinky fluid on me! It just so happened to be a windy day when I performed the maintenance and ended up wearing most of the old stuff.
