I thought about buying a plow for my superduty, after a long debate I came up with the perfect solution I bought a used F250 HD reg cab 4x4 under 100k on the odometer for 2000 bucks it was 1/2 the price as a new one and i wont beat up my front end and everything like that. now it will never snow I'm sure
that' what I thought ...The best price I got on a new one was $4800 8ft fisher min mount, what a deal all that to beat the snot out of my truck.....plus think of all the new friends you will have people have already said to me oh can you do my driveway?? so I thought of that too so I didn't bother to register it no txs, reg, ins.
Here's what I use for clearing the snow from my driveway. This actually makes it fun
I also have a Craftsman track drive snowblower that I got for free from a neighbor that was going to throw it in the trash. He went out and spent $1000 on a new blower and I fixed this one for $180. The gear box for the auger was broken, which I figured out happened because the shear pins had been replaced with regular bolts.
KD thats fine if you have the time but I gotta do driveways all over town
well done on fixin the sno thrower, it looks like new
Yeah, definitely need more than an ATV if you have a bunch of driveways to do. I used to be in the plowing business and we found the best thing for driveways was a Bobcat. Took a couple extra minutes to load and unload, but we could do a much better job with the Bobcat than plowing it with our trucks.
