Well I am lining up my mod projects before winter time gets here, so far here is what i have. Her Truck:
Ball Joints
Hub Assemblies
Figure out why it still isnt running right My Truck:
Space front bumper for 35x12.50s
Install 35s
CCV mod.
Figure out why i have a grusome wear pattern on the inside of both front Tires
Would like to lift it another 4" but the fundage will not be there!!!!
Any suggestions on places to get ball joints and Hub assemblies will be gladly accepted!!!
I can help you out on ball joints Ray, Moog greasables with the zerks you can get at your local parts houses for a decent price and I believe theres a limited lifetime warranty on those buggers but not 100% sure, ask. Theres also Motorcraft greasables now, Ed sells those, might want to shoot a PM to him, he'll tell you, OEM Baby..
Get the stuff from Ed. He's got the best prices I have found, and has everything you need to do the job correctly. He's got a whole kit with everything included LINK
Also... Remember that if her truck is an early 99 then you need to upgrade the rotors as well... unless you buy the early 99 hubs and then spend more money on the hubs. Also Check for ABS. All trucks standard with rear ABS, optional Front ABS. So just need to check.
These are things I have looked over thoroughly because I'll be needing to do this soon (Pass front needle bearing is on its way out, and hubs starting to make noise).
Go to a local drive train shop that does axle work. They'll get you superior parts at superior prices. I almost finished completely overhauling the front end of my old Ford sans gears for $520. All Raybestos ball joints, Spicer u-joints & seals, Timken bearings. I replaced everything. They had the parts in stock the same evening I went there. No dicking around with shipping, ordering or waiting. I went the same route when I went through my Dana 60 in my PSD.
Thanks guys

I'm not sure really i havent investigated it completely. Its not a daily driver yet so i can tear down and investigate.
Got your PM brother Ray, you have one now. Jason makes a good point, don't skimp on inferior parts as important as bearings and such, Its only a buck or two more respectably, OEM or known brand names, Timkin, Motorcraft, exct. My trucks going in for inspection and since they'll have it I'm having new front bearings and seals put in along with checking the steering components completely. I'd do it myself but he'll be in there so.......
