Bad new mlps?
Decided to replace the mlps in my 93 4.9L with an e4od because of seemingly going into neutral around 45mph (could make it change gears using the overdrive button)
Get the new mlps and connector but didn't think about doing it one wire at a time but thanks to the internet I found a color code, but my wires aren't exactly still colorful but I was able to get them I believe in the right spot. 1 was white/pink, 2 black pink but looked like black/white. 3 purple/orange but looked like purple yellow, 4 was red/lightblue and those were red and light blue.
5 through 8 had me lost but 8 was still red/white, 7 was still light blue/yellow but 6 looked like green/red not grey red, and 5 looked white mostly. It had what looked like a painted on black, I know it wasn't grease I wiped em all off.
Get in and try to start it, fuel pumps kick in, but starter won't turn it over so its got me thinking, wired wrong or the new one is bad.
Makes me just want to clean up my old one and put it on and just use dielectric grease on the connector, inside it was full of mud though.
